Our Team

Natasha Tomai

  

Natasha Tomai is the Founder of Artemis Construction Group, a woman owned General Contractor based in Darien, Connecticut. She built a business based on her personal values of showing up, accountability and  transparency. Her passion for construction is evidenced in her hard work and unwavering dedication to get it done. 

 

Formerly, she was the Director of Strategy at Signature Construction Group, where she made a significant

impact, shaping the company culture and fostering its growth over the past 21 years through various roles within the company.


Natasha began her career in New York City, mentored by her father and the founder of Signature Construction Group, Inc. She worked in roles from a laborer at the Churchill School, to her father's driver, to an office administrator supporting estimating. She learned the complexities of running a commercial construction company while shadowing her dad. After college she worked from Signature’s Stamford, CT office as a Site Superintendent, Permit Expeditor, Project Manager and ultimately as The Director of Strategy and Business Development.  


Throughout her tenure she spearheaded client engagement, managed the business strategy encompassing business development, marketing, and corporate giving. Natasha oversaw estimates and remained actively engaged throughout the bidding and construction, ensuring that issues were resolved swiftly and effectively. 


With 21 years of industry experience, Natasha can anticipate challenges, “see around corners,” and navigate complex scenarios. Her extensive and diverse network allows her to connect with key stakeholders and facilitate valuable partnerships. She is often engaged  early in the real estate process, where she collaborates with clients and industry professionals to evaluate sites and develop test-fit budgets. Natasha’s dedication to her clients is unwavering. It comes second only to her children and family. 


Ms. Tomai graduated magna cum laude from Johnson & Wales University with a B.S. in International Business. She went on to study construction management and mechanical engineering at New York University. She was OSHA certified and formerly held a real estate license in both New York and Connecticut.

Beyond her professional achievements, Natasha has served on the Board of Directors for the Stamford YMCA and was the fundraising chairperson for The Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York City. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Boys and Girls Club of Stamford, where she has been working to better the youth of Stamford for over 15 years. She continues to support numerous community organizations, including Person-to-Person, Stamford Hospital, St. John’s Church in Darien and The Human Services Council. She is a member at The Metropolitan Club of New York City. 


Notable projects: Prior to her current management role, she was formerly a project manager and supervised high-end interior office renovations for the corporate offices of Drum Capital, H2 Capital Partners, XL, Albourne America, and Cushman & Wakefield. Her key role included managing the construction for RFR Realty’s Stamford portfolio of seven Class A office buildings. She also represented clients, The New York Foundling Hospital, Michael Page, Palladium Equity Partners, and FD Rich company in real estate transactions.

Jackson Twining

  

Jackson Twining is an experienced On-Site Superintendent with a solid foundation in commercial construction, specializing in high-end interior fit-outs and complex gut renovations. Jackson began his career as a laborer with Blackwell Construction, where he gained hands-on experience across a variety of commercial projects ranging from small-scale remodels to large-scale interior build-outs.


His dedication and work ethic quickly distinguished him, leading him to support both Project Managers and Project Executives on-site. Through this progression, Jackson developed a comprehensive understanding of project delivery, site coordination, and the nuances of high-end commercial construction throughout Purchase New York, and Stamford Connecticut markets.


To complement his field experience, Jackson earned a Construction Project Management Certificate from Columbia University’s Department of Engineering. This formal education further enhanced his expertise in project scheduling, risk management, and construction methodologies, which strengthened his ability to lead projects from pre-construction through closeout.


Today, Jackson is recognized for his proactive leadership, keen attention to detail, and commitment to delivering quality and specific, client tailored results on every job site he oversees.

Kate Ferris

Kate Ferris is a dedicated and highly motivated professional with a strong background in finance. She brings exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in fast paced environments. 


Kate began her career at Credit Suisse in NYC, where she held multiple roles within Institution Equity Sales and Sales Trading. She first joined the firm as a Sales Assistant, where she gained valuable experience in client relations, market research and sales strategy. With strong dedication and commitment early on in her career, she progressed from an entry level role to an associate position and ultimately earned a place on the trading floor within just three years. As a Sales Trader, she managed her own accounts, executed daily trades, and provided market insights to top clients. She worked closely with senior traders, cultivating strong client relationships and enhancing business opportunities. 


Following her time at Credit Suisse, Kate joined Bridgewater Associates, one of the world's largest hedge funds, as a Team Lead in Trading Technology. In this role, she supported senior executives in managing technological functions across the firm. Kate facilitated high-level meetings and led roundtable discussions to optimize departmental processes. She was instrumental in capturing key decisions, strategizing initiatives, and driving efficiency within the organization.
 

Kate earned a BA in Business Management from Gettysburg College. She holds expired FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses and remains deeply engaged in her community through volunteer work. Kate currently resides in Darien, CT with her husband and three children. Kate enjoys playing tennis, listening to music and traveling.

Maggie Lu

Maggie Lu provides IT support to the team at Artemis Construction and has worked supporting various school administrators in the public school system .  Her level of expertise and efficiency is a huge value add for the team. She supports the infrastructure and projects while currently a student at Swarthmore College with an interest in Engineering and Environmental Studies. She has a strong interest in technology, problem-solving, and data-driven solutions. She combines her passion for technology with an ongoing study of sustainability and economic systems. Throughout her schooling, she has gained hands-on experience with IT support, troubleshooting, and network management, which has strengthened her technical skills and ability to work efficiently in team environments.


She is eager to apply her growing knowledge of technology and analytical thinking in a professional IT setting, while continuing to develop her skills and contribute to impactful projects.

Jack Zagrodzky

 Jack Zagrodzky is an Assistant Project Manager at Artemis Construction. He is lifelong resident of Darien, CT and previously worked at Baywater Properties. He holds a deep appreciation for the town that has shaped his personal and professional values. He is a proud graduate of the Forman School in Litchfield, CT and completing an advanced degree at Sacred Heart University. 


Throughout his career, Jack has developed strong analytical and organizational skills, which he recently applied in a practical setting during the fast paced construction project at Hubbard Day School In Stamford. His hands on experience allows him to collaborate effectively with a team, demonstrating his ability to contribute meaningfully to the end product. 


Jack is thrilled to be learning from seasoned professionals and playing an active role in a fast-paced and exciting industry. He is eager to leverage his academic background and project experience as he embarks on the next phase of his professional journey. Committed to continuous growth, Jack looks forward to applying his business acumen in dynamic environments.
